Bags of household items assembled for Feeding Friends clients during the April 2009 work-ship
During worship services on Saturday and Sunday, April 30th and May 1st, 2011, we again supported Cross Creek’s Feeding Friends by assembling bags of household items not available through our regular food pantry supply source. Thanks to Kroger for providing grocery bags!

During worship services on Saturday and Sunday, November 27th and 28th, 2010, we prepared kits, each containing a book and school supplies, for students in the Mad River School District. This suggestion came from Project READ, a literacy agency in the Miami Valley; a Project READ representative attended our services to explain their mission and goals.

During worship services on Saturday and Sunday, November 21st and 22nd, 2009, we assembled grooming kits for AIDS Resource Center Ohio (ARC).
Cross Creeker Andrew Hyde, who works for ARC’s Prevention Education program as Mpowerment Coordinator and coordinates ARC’s Mu Crew, was the work-ship weekend’s special speaker. The Rev. Beth Holten, interim executive director of the Greater Dayton Christian Connection, offered the work-ship’s prompting.

Feeding Friends team leader Brian Worley spoke about his team’s work and clients, and the Rev. Sarah Rohrer, North Central Organizer for Bread for the World, offered a prompting entitled “Life for the Hungry.”
