About us

Feeding Friends, one of the core teams that are part of Cross Creek’s Justice and Witness Ministry, is currently led by Janice Kemp and Barry Caslin (feedingfriends@crosscreekchurch.org).

Volunteering

To volunteer, contact Janice or Barry at feedingfriends@crosscreekchurch.org. You can also just show up on Saturday morning when our food pantry is open, and/or you can come to a volunteer meeting (see below) to get more information.

Every time the pantry is open, volunteers are needed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. Even if you can’t come for the entire time, coming for part of the time helps!

Volunteers help with greeting, intake, assisting shoppers, bagging groceries, and clean up. Youth volunteers accompanied by an adult are welcome to join.

We also need volunteers on the Friday before each pantry date to help with setting up and with receiving the delivery of food from the Foodbank. The Foodbank’s truck arrives around 10:30 a.m. If you can help on Friday mornings, let Janice or Barry know.

We also have other tasks such as fundraising, publicity and reporting that take place through out the month.
